Do you still have an old phone with a 1 or 2 gig of RAM? Are you asking your parents for a new phone and they ain’t approving? In the meantime, all your friends are talking about Winner Winner Chicken Dinner? We have a solution for you: PUBG Lite.

We managed to play Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds or PUBG in a 3-year-old Gionee P5W. As you all know, to play PUBG mobile in your phone you need to have at least 3 GB of RAM in Android. But the one we’re using here has only 1 GB RAM and it cannot run PUBG obviously.

So, how we managed to play PUBG?

Well, to play PUBG on your phone, you need to download the following files.

  1. APKpure APK
  2. Any ONE of the following:
Use the options below!

Note: You have to enable Unknown sources first to install APKPure APK file. To do so, follow the instructions below.

  1. Up to Android Nougat 7.0: Go to Settings-> Security-> Allow installation from Unknown Sources.
  2. Android Oreo 8.0 to Pie 9.0: Go to Settings-> Apps and Notifications-> Advanced-> Special App Access-> Install Unknown Apps-> Select your browser-> Allow from this source.

Don’t worry it’s completely safe for this case. Turn it off after this installation if you’re unsure.

Allow Unknown Sources

Instructions for installation:

  • After installing the APKPure APP, open it and search for PUBG Mobile lite. Yeah, it’s the lite version, but it’ll give you the same PubG experience like the original one.

Note: This is not any 3rd party app or cheap clone of PUBG. Tencent Games developed this and optimized it for low-end phones. In short words, it’s OFFICIAL.

  • After downloading PUBG Mobile Lite, install it but don’t open it already. Now you need to download the UFO VPN app, open it and set the VPN to the Philippines. After the VPN connection is successful, you can open the PUBG Mobile Lite and can play it.

Note: If UFO VPN is not working for you, we mentioned some alternatives along with their download links above. VPN service is completely legal in India. Check your country here.

Details of PUBG Lite:

The app is only 350 MB in size and as of now, only Erangel map is available in it. The map is same as the one in the original PUBG but the names of places are a bit different.

And the major difference is that, unlike 100 people in original PUBG Mobile, in the lite version the game has 40 people.

The PUBG Mobile lite app is actually available in play store but it is available only in Philippines. We’re not sure whether it’ll come to India any time soon. Until it does, follow the procedure above.
